Coronavirus update

Important updates:

26th April 2022 - Tuesday 6pm class will move from on-line back to Boulders, just off Newport Road. Booking still via the same booking system.

2nd September 2021 Thursday evening classes will return to face to face from 23rd September, at the Cardiff Yoga Studio. Booking essential due to limited spaces.  Beginners will move to the Cardiff Yoga Studio from 2nd November. Improvers flow continues at Headland School on Saturday morning. All other classes remain on-line.

1st June Beginners start back face to face from 8th June. Saturday morning experienced student flow class starts back face to face from 5th June. Please wear masks to class until you're on your mat, and keep 2m distance at all times, thankyou.

11th May: All classes will remain on-line through May. A few classes will go back into studios in June - further details to follow. Beginners will start again June.

4th January: all classes on-line (no studio based classes). No beginners sorry. Students with more than 2 months previous experience are welcome to join the on-line classes - please get in touch for booking info.

28th September - classes still on-line and likely to remain so for the foreseeable future.

15th September: indoor class restrictions: We are restricted to 2m social distancing (the length of a yoga mat plus 1 handspan), and now have to wear masks in all communal areas - arrival, toilet/changing, stairs, but once on the mats, masks can be removed.  The rule of 6 does not apply to gyms/studios. We have completed risk assessments and introduced additional cleaning, and transition times between classes, windows open, to minimise transfer. A full list of precautions is available for each venue. Students are also asked to bring their own equipment. Hand wash / sanitiser is provided.  Most classes remain on-line.

23rd March: all classes are now on-line - details on the 'classes' tab, information about price and payment options are below the timetable. Email me to book on! Current students only for now sorry.

20th March: Classes are moving on-line. I'm just finalising a schedule for next week and payment options and then will email everyone I have an address for. If you don't see it - please check your 'Spam' in case! Once you've seen the timetable, let me know which class / classes you're interested in, and I'll send you an invite with all the details you'll need. See you on a mat soon!

CIP classes are still on this weekend, all other classes are going on-line. Some of these are combined, so may not be at the original time / day, but I also have more daytime sessions and a later evening one too - so hopefully something for everyone!

18th March: most classes are now cancelled due to size of studios.

Boulders and CIP are the exceptions and still running.

On-line: I have just tested an on-line platform today and plan to launch on-line classes tomorrow - I will need your emails to invite you - please get in touch! I hope to have a schedule up shortly.

14th March Please remember, yoga helps – with your immune system, reducing the stress response, keeping you healthy and in shifting any illness more quickly/easily. With that in mind, I intend to continue classes this week, but remain responsive.

As you can see from the posts I’ve shared below – we are taking your health and well-being seriously and stepped up hygiene and preventative measures. Here are the provisions in place in each of the places I’m teaching:

- Increased cleaning, most with stronger products too.
- Handwashing available in all and hand sanitiser in most too (remember soap is still the best)
- Tissues are available - please catch any sneezes
- No hands on adjustments
- I won’t teach if I have any cold/flu symptoms

Thank you for your help here:
- please wash/sanitise your hands before and after class
- please don’t come to class if you have cold / flu symptoms, or recently travelled to any places listed https://www.gov.uk/guidance/travel-advice-novel-coronavirus
- please let me know if you've been to class and now self-isolating so I can arrange deep cleaning of studios

You may choose to use your own mat in class – if you have two, I recommend one for home use and one for studio use to minimise transfer
To wash your mat – washing machine, gentle detergent, gentle wash, extra rinse, extra spin, roll up with a towel, jump on it lots, hang it for 24 hours.

I will be reviewing class numbers, and may limit spaces in some classes.

I am also looking into on-line class options for those of you choosing or needing to self-isolate

If you have a class pass with me at the Yoga Loft, please don’t worry about expiry dates

I’m keeping a very close eye on medical guidelines and doing my best to follow advice to support you and your loved ones through this, thank you for your help and consideration too.

If any of you need support through isolation – shopping etc – please do let me know and I’ll be happy to help.
