Welcome to Yoga with Tori
Whether this is your first time even thinking about yoga, or you're someone with a strong existing practice, welcome to yoga with Tori.
I first started practising yoga in 1994, and teach a broad Hatha yoga practice, with a strong Iyengar influence, combined with some Yin yoga too. If you're looking for something very aerobic and sweaty, my classes are probably not for you. If you are looking for something that is suitable for beginners and improvers, with plenty of props and variations to suit different needs, then I hope you will find my classes are a good fit for you.
I am a qualified British Wheel of Yoga teacher (please see the links page for more information) with further training in Yoga Therapy Techniques from the Yoga Biomedical Trust and Yoga Campus and in Para Yoga with Rod Stryker. I teach yoga in Cardiff, at a number of locations including fully kitted, purpose built yoga studios - please check the classes tab above for more information. Classes include yoga for beginners, yoga for improvers, general level drop-in classes, therapeutic yoga, yoga for sports, yoga for dancers, climbers, motorcyclists and many other applications.
I'm sometimes asked what style I teach. I draw from Iyengar, Yin, vini, dynamic vinyasa flow, parayoga. yoga therapy and general 'hatha', so there isn't a simple answer. My approach is that if I think it is useful and appropriate, then I'll teach it. I appreciate Vanda Skaravelli's comment that, 'if you're not smiling, you're not practising yoga', so when asked what I teach now, I've come to the answer, 'everything with a smile'.
Please take some time to look around the site, but if you have any questions, please feel free to just get in touch.
